Cup ‘o Code Recap 01/15/08
Thursday, January 17th, 2008Great meet up yesterday, but we’ll get to that. It was brought to my attention that I never formally introduced myself. My name is Michael Nunez, I run an affiliate program management company as well as am a Publisher Evangelist for a web company in Celebration. I started with php a little over a year ago when I started coding bounce.cc, a tool that monetizes user generated content. Anyway, enough about what I do and on to yesterday’s meeting.
It was a smaller meeting, which was nice in a way because we had room to spread out. Conversation flowed and everyone had a chance to get involved. The first topic of the day was obviously the VERY recently announced MacBook pro, even the coffee guy wanted to talk about it (I’ll have to get his name, calling him coffee guy seems so rude). Reviews based on the video were mixed, but with a positive vibe.
Jim P shared some VMware stories and introduced us all to Google Notebook, my favorite new firefox extension. James and Pat discussed opportunities at GrowingBolder, where Pat manages the dev team, and Ryan Price made a digital appearance via IM and suggested we set up a webcam and stream via ustream.tv - I’ll look into it.
See y’all next Tuesday at Cup ‘o Code.
